Can I Rinse Color Oops Again the Next Day if It Doesnt Work Well
Hey! So I just joined, I nevertheless have to add a picture but I was dying my hair blood-red for a year at present, and but recently decided to say farewell to the red and effort to get to blonde...and hopefully platinum one day.
So I researched, found that I should endeavour a color remover so I bought color oops, and to my surprise, it took out the red, only leaving a assistant xanthous spots and brassy orange spots all over my pilus... Then I decided to practise a repair conditioner right subsequently, left it in for ii-3 minutes, washed it out and dried my hair. At present me not beingness then bright, decided to merely go ahead and bleach my hair.....WELL NO. Right equally I was applying the bleach, my hair was going back to red....I quickly washed it out, did enquiry and realized I should of done a protein treatment after ontop of really washing the crap out of my pilus to go all the molecules out....WELLLLLLLL I and then got more color oops, redid it ii days agone, tried to wash it out, and only left my hair alone. Today I went to the store to become a keratin aphoga (SP?) treatment..applied information technology to my pilus and washed it out, and decided to give the bleach a try again, this time just doing a strip exam....still turning cherry-red!!! HELP!!!! What should I practice? I feel like I am never going to get passed this point... Should I simply wash my pilus a lot to get any leftover color oops out of my hair? Or practise I have to redo everything again? Or what? Please help
DON'T Practise ANYTHING ELSE! Don't utilise poly peptide treatments or masks or anything until the hair has returned to a normal PH & settled down. Particularly don't bleach. Colour removers are famous for re-oxidising molecules with bleaching besides before long. You might even need to give it a week after all this harshness. I know it's dry and horrible right at present, simply leave it solitary. If you put stuff in your hair y'all're going to take a hard time working with it subsequently. More often than not, you need at least 48 hours between a color remover and bleach, depending on the state and porosity of your hair. If yous can expect longer, practice so. It's not good to keep removing & bleaching because eventually your hair (and scalp) is going to have a go at yous about it.
If you duck face, nosotros can't be friends.
What probably happened is you didn't rinse the Color Oops out plenty, and it reoxidised, making the cerise come dorsum.
Normally when I use a color remover I wash it thoroughlly five times, the equivalent (for me) of a 20 minute shower. Many people will even recommend more than.
The box says you "tin can" redye right afterward, merely information technology'due south best to look a week (and more washings!) before doing anything because you don't want it to reoxidise over again.
Thanks for the advice I will just leave it lone for a week! Should I only shampoo it like normal?
You lot might want to switch to a dandruff or clarifying shampoo for the week. I commonly simply shampoo twice a week, only afterwards colour removers, I shampoo every day for a week before bleaching. I'd probably give your hair a bit more time, just because it's probably actually dry out at the moment.
By the way, before you bleach, soak your hair in some coconut oil for an hour beforehand and utilize the bleach straight over it. It really helps with the damage and doesn't affect the strength of the bleach.
Thanks vivienne for the tip on the shampoo and the apply of kokosnoot oil! I will definitely exist trying that out!! Thanks everyone!!!
Definitely sounds like archetype reoxidation. For color build-up, Ialways rrecommend rinsing for a half hr then drying it completely, then rinsing for another half hour afterwards a color remover. During each of those half hours, I ordinarily shampoo it 3-4 times. Y'all can check to see if you've rinsed out all the color molecules by putting only straight developer on a test strand.
I would wait a calendar week to do another 1 though. I would do a couple overnight coconut oil/argan oil soaks to restore some moisture back into your hair. You can remove it in the morn by coating your hair in conditioner for a one-half hour or more, I like using a thin silicone free 1 like Suave Tropical Coconut
Always analyze and demineralize your last cleansing before any chemical process to avoid adverse results or unstable chemical reactions! Call back that test strands can salve you a world of headache, that poly peptide damage is permanent, moisture is essential, you tin can use coconut oil equally a lightener pre treatment to minimize protein reduction, and that Olaplex can reform broken disulfide bonds and so long every bit they oasis't already negatively paired, only information technology does non address protein or moisture.

I know this is waay quondam, but when yous say non to do anything does this include shampoo?? what nigh coconut oil masks?? long story brusk, I had to color oops twice to fix a re-oxidation from the first one, and at present whatever bleach strand tests I try aren't doing anything any. is this because of the ph??

Simply judging from the other comments, only I remember yous tin shampoo and probably should. I call back coconut oil is a good idea likewise.
I'm endmost this topic because it'due south old and the original poster nigh likely found a solution.
