IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR PROPOSED ORDERS
Please be advised beginning, Wednesday, December 1, 2021 ALL PROPOSED ORDERS, ACCOMPANIED BY A COVER LETTER must be submitted via email to Brodie-CivilOrders@ca.cjis20.org. When submitting proposed Orders for the Court's consideration, a cover letter must be submitted. The cover letter must indicate that all counsel have reviewed the proposed submission and whether or not they have an objection to the form of the order.
All proposed orders:
- Must be submitted in Word Format, font size 12, Times New Roman.
- Must have the case number.
- Must include date of hearing if the Order is the result of a hearing.
- Do not include signature line, 'done and ordered'/date line, or conformed copies info. The electronic signature inserts its own signature line and the signature is dated when the Judge signs it.
- Do not include headnotes, footnotes or weird inserts like text boxes or pictures in your proposed orders. Make sure you have filed your notice of email address with the Clerk so that you receive copies via electronic service. We do not check the electronic service lists.

Due to extremely high call volume, please do not call the Judge's office to verify if your case is still set. Please confirm by checking Judge Brodie's Court Docket on the 20th judicial website. Please also view Judge Brodie's Frequently Asked Questions on the 20th judicial website to answer any other questions you may have. Please do not call to follow up on the status of an Order. All of Judge Brodie's policies and procedures remain in effect. All paperwork for the Court's review and consideration needs to be mailed in or hand delivered. We do not accept e-mails. AO 2.40 - Introduction and Management of Evidence in Remote Civil Hearings
Judge Brodie graduated with a BA from Brandeis University, cum laude, and received her JD from the University of Miami School of Law.
Judge Brodie served as a Senior Judge throughout the Twentieth Judicial Circuit from 1999 until her appointment to the Circuit Court bench by Governor Jeb Bush in October, 2001. Prior to that, Judge Brodie served as a Circuit Court Judge for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit from 1995-1998 and as a County Court Judge in Miami-Dade County from 1991-1994. She also served as the Assistant City Attorney of the City of North Miami Beach from 1983-1990.
Judge Brodie has served as a faculty member of the Florida Judicial College teaching all new judges in the State of Florida from 1992-1998 and again from 2006-2011. She has also served as a member of the Education Committee for the Florida Conference of Circuit Court Judges and has taught at judicial education conferences.
Judge Brodie is a member of the Thomas S. Biggs American Inns of Court (Collier County Chapter) and has served as an Associate Judge of the Second District Court of Appeal. Judge Brodie also participates in civic and law related activities in the community.
In 2007, Judge Brodie was awarded the Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice's Judicial Distinguished Service Award for her work in the juvenile justice area. This award is presented to the one judge in the State of Florida who has distinguished him/herself by contributing to the improvement of the law, the legal system and the administration of justice.
The Collier County Women's Bar Association recognized Judge Brodie as Woman Lawyer of the Year in 2015. Also, in May 2015, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers selected Judge Brodie as one of six Extraordinary Women Leaders in the State of Florida for her vision, courage and passion in helping create Drug Free Collier, where she served as its first President from 2005-2009.
Judge Brodie is married and together with her husband, has four children and two grandchildren.
